The Gathering: Battlemasters Edition Now Available

JOHNSTOWN, Pa.– September 11th, 2003,– New Realms Publishing announced the release of The Gathering: Battlemasters Edition. The Gathering: Battlemasters Edition includes The Gathering (Revised), a revised and updated version of the original five-star adventure, SE1 The Gathering, 17 pages of Battlemasters miniature scale floor plans, and a set of instructions for assembling the multi-page floor plans.

The Gathering is a 1st level adventure specially designed to bring together a new party of characters at the start of a campaign. In The Gathering, the characters awaken as strangers in a strange room. Trapped and with little hope of outside aid, the characters must journey further into the unknown, facing encounters both deadly and strange in their quest for freedom.

Now, with the set of Battlemasters floor plans included with the product, every room and cavern in The Gathering can be explored on a miniature scale. The 17 page Battlemasters PDF includes 9 single-page floor plans, 2 double-page floor plans, and a massive four-page floor plan. The floor plans can also be used for other adventures and are completely compatible with all other Battlemasters products.

With the purchase of The Gathering: Battlemasters Edition you receive a 24 page PDF adventure, 17 pages of Battlemasters miniature scale floor plans, and the instructions for assembling the multi-page floor plans. The Gathering: Battlemasters Edition is available now at RPGNOW for $5.

A preview is available here.

After reading a thread on another message board discussing the Battlemasters products, I thought I should add a little more info here. The Battlemasters floor plans are meant to be utilitarian and inexpensive to produce for both the consumer and New Realms Publishing. For example, the basic set doesn't include any added features in the rooms etc..., so that "you" could print out a suitable sized room for your adventure, sketch in what ever features are there and get on with the game and not have to use a lot of ink to do so. The point of starting the Battlemasters line is to be able to include miniature scale floor plans with a published adventure at minimal, or no, added cost. The floor plans packaged with an adventure DO include all the features, such as furniture, as the "room" is described in the adventure. These are still utilitarian in nature and meant to be inexpensive to produce.

Thank you,
Walter
