You mean Eli deleted a SLED from -- oh wait. ;)

Well in THAT case ... for those people who are current in Season Two:

[sblock] Who do you think will ultimately win the election, and will Carey Agos continue to work in the DA's office? [/sblock]

Without dropping any spoilers, El Mahdi, do you think it's gotten more seedy in Season 2 with the permanent addition of Mr. Gold and all the campaign machinations?

I don't think it's any more seedy than it was, but their doing a good job of showing Chicago politics, for the most part. In real life I think it's even worse. But I won't go into that since this is a no politics site. There's plenty of other places you can read up on that.:)

But I really like how even Alicia isn't as black-and-white this season. In the first season she seemed to kind of rise above and stand apart from everything. Even with the thing with Will. But this season she seems a little more complicated as a character and person, and I like that. And I'm really diggin' the rivalry between Kalinda and Scott.

And I think Cary will be permanent at the DA. He's too good of an antagonist there. Nothing like a smart enemy.

I think Alicia is being presented with more morally-gray issues, while also coming to realize that she has more horses in the race than she previously accepted.

I can see that ... but I think El Mahdi is kind of right that Alicia is also doing some specifically more morally ambiguous things. They could have written her as choosing to sort of stay detached and aloof like she did in Season 1 ... I rather like that they are making her just as flawed as anyone else. That being said, she's not exactly in danger of dipping into antihero territory or anything.

I've seen a few episodes and Gods, do I ever hate it now. The few I saw in Season 1 left me excited it was going to be really good but the last couple I've seen have devolved into 80s-style soap pablum with the office (potential) affairs and such. Christine Baranski is starting to turn in to Larry Hagman in being part of cheesey situations. I'm waiting for Alan Cumming to don his Nightcrawler gear as his acting has gotten more over-the-top. I suppose it was inevitable they would slush it up a bit for general viewership, but I've been really disappointed by the "changes".

Yeah, Season 1 is something I would recommend, but waht I've seen of Season 2 leaves me rather cold.

I do like that they are a very "current" show, but that may also date it in a hurry for those who have to catch up later.

They've been saying that season 2 is even more based on plots from reality. Not having seen it yet, I don't know how accurate that is.

J.R. Hagman or Major Nelson Hagman?

I'd have to say they are doing their best to mine recent headlines and news stories for plotlines ... the Season 2 opener was a retread of WikiLeaks, essentially ... Al Gore's accused sexual harasser and a Lindsay Lohan-esque celebrity hell-on-wheels came in later episodes.
