Oh my god! Talk about a New year Present!

So the original hobbiton was torn down and the new one is a permanent fixture for New Zealand's tourist industry (and probably for those local enough to visit!)!

Has there been any word on how the two movies will be split?

Saw the trailer in the theater the other day, and I'm excited to see it next year ... but not sure what to expect for actual content.

For 2011. I think they have quite a bit left to do.

I'm not so sure. They have a lot of post-production work to do before the first movie's release. Maybe they are saving some of the second movie scenes for later. Also, it's my understanding that once they get into post-production they find they need to bring some people back in for certain shots that just don't work. Then again, with al of the cameras they have on this film maybe they will get lucky.
