My ideal game would be one in which all the players were familiar with or very interested in the campaign setting, and at least conversant in the basics of the system. There would be memorable characters, lots of humor, some pathos, suspense, drama, action, and bizarre symbolism and imagery. Everyone at the table would be dedicated to making the game fun. Combat would be frequent and awesome, and would seem more like a cool sequence in a movie or novel and less like math.

Hopefully, this describes the games I will be running when I get back to college this fall. D&D 3e and Exalted 2e, respectively.
