Cheysuli allows Patronis to finish before she fills in any gaps; she tells Shayla and Miranna her version of the events trying her hardest to include everything she heard, saw and felt during the encounter.

"... All i could gleam from the arcane residue was that this demon shares somethings in common with Zal' Ekthees; be it his intentions or his methods, i'm not sure."

Miranna pondered what she had heard so far, fitting the pieces together with what she knew of arcane magic. "Perhaps the intents are equally troubling to those in the mortal world, but I'd guess it might be a similarity of method. Maybe this being which is imprisoned here is still bound, but the seals have weakened enough that it can provide power to its servants- much like the pacts that warlocks make. Power granted in exchange for help in weakening the seals enough for it to escape. It might explain some of what those dog-lizard things on the road were raving about- perhaps they are contolled by someone empowered by such a pact..."

I'm sorry I've been away so long, I've been in hospital (I was knocked down in a hit and run). I've got to catch up with a few things and then I should be able to join in again (if you're all alright with that) but I thought it was important to let you know that I hadn't vanished for good.

Listening to the story Shayla first begins to think back. Was there anything she had studied similar to the story, perhaps some sort of demon possesion?

I'd say your lucky, but then I don't have any idea how much risk you actually are in or if the being can take hold of you whenever it wants."

Thinking a bit to herself she then adds "But you can count on me to help you find and deal with this creature. And if worse comes to worse, you have my promise, I won't let the darkness take you."

Listening to the voices of his companions Patronis realizes that he may have actually invited the presence to speak through him. By searching all his faculties for information, he inevitably tapped the dark well of knowledge that his infernal pact ties him too.

In that sense he was not so much a vessel, but a conduit. Not posessed, but merely channeling the knowledge, that by right was his.

By rights of my torture and now my infernal heritage.... I was able to pull dark and powerful information from every ones accounts on that written paper over there... If given enough time to study it.... and the willingness to be possessed again I could delve into the dark magics I am attuned to and get more information I'm sure... it would be like me reading my sisters super secret diary without her knowing..... the problem is... I have NO idea how to control the possession.... there IS a possibility I COULD harm one or many of you when doing so.... thoughts on this? Patronis said with convicted concern in the latter part of his conversation with everyone and hoped that more information lie inside the accounts of what unfolded tonight...

Chey stamps her foot defiantly; "Well, we'll have to find a method better than that, no use removing the curse only for him to die, perhaps someone in sthis town has the knowledge we would need?"

"Well said Shayla, I second your sentiment." She summons her bravest grin for Patronis (though because she is feeling far from brave at the moment, her 'brave' grin looks more like a 'constipated' grin).

To everyones relief, Cheysuli's grin disappears. "That doesn't sound like something i would like you to do uness we did a bit of study and take a few precautions first... Perhaps there is some ritual that would afford us, and you, some protection from untimely death. Do any of you know if there is a library in this town?"

I can't recall asking if there was one and at this time of the night surely it's closed if there is... perhaps sleeping on what's transpired for now is the best course and looking for a library tomorrow would be more prudent? Patronis adds as he moves to sit back down once more...
