As you approach the gates of the town, a sentry shouts out, "In the name of the Platinum Shogun, state your name and business!"

You also hear some whispers from the top of the wall.

"Didn't these two pass by before?"

"How should I know. All foreigners look the same to me."

"So who do we go see first when we get to the city? I don't know if we should meet the Lord with such a gruesome trophy." He gestures at the emissary's body.

This is sort of just a proof of I'm still around post. I didn't really see anywhere to jump in since I missed a bit of the prior conversations.

Miranna thought about the matter for a few moments before replying. "Once we get to town, I imagine the guards will have a few questions for us. I don't think we'll be brought into court straight away, and we'll be able to stow this fellow in an antechamber or something. Still, this is just the sort of hard evidence that we wanted, and a clear token of our success." She paused, and gave a harsh growl of a laugh. "Besides, I imagine they think of us as foreign savages anyway..."

Cheysuli Sage

"If Shayla has brought our captive before the lord already, then this is just the honey on the cake. I am sure; as you say, the local guards will have somewhere appropriate to keep the corpse."

And that is why we are here, to do something about the trouble. But we'd prefer not to parade it about, if you take my meaning. Will you admit us?

[sblock=Bluff check]My motto is to roll until the DM says "Yes", and I can do this all day ;).Bluff (1d20+10=23) [/sblock]

"Oh let them through. They're probably with the others. Besides, they're clearly not kobolds."

"Very well. You may enter."

The doors open, and you are allowed entrance into Maoleth. There is an unmistakable aura of tension about. The few people you pass in the streets give you nervous glances before quickly looking away and continuing about their business.

Cheysuli Sage

Cheysuli, Miranna and Brenwar pause for a moments rest when the silhouette of the town comes into view down the road.
"Nearly there, I am really looking forward to a nice warm bath this evening."
Chey doesn't linger long before she once more takes a hold of one end of the stretcher that Miranna had made. "Onwards!" She declares with a smile of expectation on her face.
