Miranna moved quickly around the column- once she reached a reasonable distance she lashed out with her sword, and a spinning thread of lightning arced across the room. While the glittering lash looked slender and ephemeral, it settled solidly around the hobgoblin's shoulders and the creature found himself dragged away from his wounded foes...

Yishim tries a daring stratagem, and fails. He sidles up next to Firete and unleashes a clap of thunder, hoping to push the grunt nearest to her close to Miranna.

Unfortunately his arcane power fail him and only a whisper of sound results. Well, big ugly, looks like you have lots of options here, Yishim comments as he makes a rude gesture at the hobgoblin.

The hobgoblin snared by Miranna snarls and swings at her. Both combatants stagger away a moment later; Miranna from the force of the blow, and the goblinoid from a sudden painful flash of light. The other hobgoblin attempts to bludgeon his way past Brenwar's guard, but to no avail.

The beetle walks farther into the room and regains sight of Chey. It rears up off its front-most pair of legs and once again sprays acid at the tiefling. However, once again it misses its mark.

And, well, since Virtue of Valor doesn't state that the bloodying of an enemy has to be the result of an attack, Brenwar gains the 4 thp. Grunt 49 misses Brenwar. Rolls.

The beetlea moves farther into the room and attacks Chey again. It definitely comes closer to hitting this time.[/sblock]

"Firete let us attack from both sides." Brenwar swings his hammer at the hobgoblin but the hammer goes a bit wide. He steps around the creature trying to keep it between Firete and himself.
