"Forget the knight! Kill the healer!" Intent on leading by example, the hobgoblin leader steps past Brenwar and nearly guts Firete with his spear, despite the near blinding flash of light. One of his followers attempts to do the same, but Firete is able to step out of the way of his clumsy swing. He too is punished with a flash of light.
The other hobgoblin is unwilling to break from his preferred target. He rushes around the nearby column in an attempt to cut Miranna off. However, in doing so he manages to get his feet tangled in the chain of his flail, and he ends up nearly tripping himself.
The beetle apparantly is not intelligent enough to follow specific commands. It lobs another gob of acid at Brenwar, but its aim is poor, and the caustic liquid only hits the stone of the floor.
The warchief looks around him, dismay in his eyes. He then grits his teeth and prepares to sell his life dearly.

critically misses.
Grunt 49 attacks Firete,
missing for a staggering amount of damage, and taking 7 damage from Sanction. He then shifts to O10.
The beetle attacks Brenwar,
