The Jade Frontier, part 2 (DM: THB, Judge: Lord Sessadore)

The dagger flies accurately and lands in the door with a soft thud. Perhaps it landed a bit more towards the middle of the door than you would have liked, but it still feels like it has a firm enough hold to be useful.

[sblock=info]I am not currently at my computer with maptool, so, uh, enjoy this terrible quasi-map.

Well, that was awful. You came in from the south, the dark grey lines are the doors, with the one at the north being the one you are daggering open. Don't worry, I'll be able to make real maps before the encounter starts.

The stains look like dried blood. Relatively recent, actually.[/sblock]

Miranna stood ready for whatever foes were behind the opening door- it was rather like poking one's hand into a hole in the ground. It might hold bunnies- or a rabid badger... Fitful sparks of electricity danced up and down the blade of her sword- just enough to give some warning of what awaited their new enemies.

OOC: Looks like we can set our front line at C-D 8, with the others behind. If we get in trouble we can fall back to the corner (E 12-13). If Brenwar is willing, Miranna will take C8, to open up a bit for her close burst powers. She will ready an action to attack the first enemy that moves into range with Lightning Lure (ranged 3, +6 vs. FORT; on a hit 1d6+5 lightning damage and pull the creature into an adjacent unoccupied square; from the map that would be first opponent to move into B-C-D 5 area, on a hit pull to B7)

Firete picks up the rope attached to the dagger and gives it a soft tug to check it is secure. I think I will need some help with this, but first should we get into position?

[sblock=Plans] I'm probably better in the second row for now and then step in for the second wave.[/sblock]

Yishim moves against the wall. I'm ready when you are, Firete.
OOC: (edit)Move to A5.(/edit) Ready to cast mage hand to pull open door (or push if we misread the hinges :-)

"Yishim, Firete- don't get too close to the door," Miranna hissed. "That looks like blood on the floor, and we don't want to add ours." She grabbed hold of the rope with her free hand, to lend at least some help to the effort.

OOC: Miranna will help pull the rope, at least with one hand- she will drop that as soon as the door begins to come open though. We're trying to set the front line at C-D 8, facing north- keep the squishies behind that point (9 or higher, don't be out in front unless you intend to run past us as soon as the door even starts to open...)

Yes, you're right, and we have more than enough rope. Firete moves back to C8. Yishim, are you sure you want to stand there? I know you said you needed to be in range, but with the rest of us back here you are going to be a little exposed. If we do manage to open the door, will you have enough time to get back here?

[sblock=OOC]You also better ready an action to run back here if we open the door, ronak. If you get attacked by something, I can pull him off you though.[/sblock]
