The Jade Frontier, part 2 (DM: THB, Judge: Lord Sessadore)

As Miranna walks forward, more of the room comes into view (ooc: Also, I totally forgot to describe everything you saw last round.) At each end of the room is a torture rack, both of which seem to enjoy frequent use. In the center of the room is a pitted wooden table covered with various small blades. Also, there is at least one more goblin in here, as yet another foul creature is revealed (ooc: Sharpshooter 31 is in -G3).

The two larger goblinoids pull themselves to their feet and hobble forward with a strange loping gait. The unmasked one gets within range of Miranna's arcing lightning, but he effortlessly shrugs it off.

The two archers let loose barbed arrows at the nearest targets, but they go wide, one flying over Brenwar's head and another embedding itself in the door frame. Cursing, they both duck out of sight. A third goblin steps into view and takes aim at Miranna. This missile catches her in the side, wounding her badly.

The Torturer stands and moves forward.

Sharpshooter 31 attacks Miranna, misses, and moves out of sight. Sharpshooter 57 moves into sight and crits Miranna for 10 damage. Sharpshooter 58 attacks Brenwar, misses, and moves out of sight. Rolls.[/sblock]

[sblock=Suggestion] Looks like there are a lot more in there than we can tackle at once. How about we try an old Diablo trick? I can bring the grunt forward to -A, -1 so he is flanked, maybe Chey could slam the door shut and we have one round to take care of him, which should be enough for three on one. Miranna gave a sharp grunt of pain, but did not flinch more than a little. Instead she raised her sword, point across the distance towards the nearest goblin- again lightning flickered across the gap towards it but failed to take hold. Frowning in frustration, she stepped forward a pace and jabbed her sword as if stabbing the air- this time a crackling bolt twined around the goblin and lingered for a moment...

Firete raises her wand and attempts to draw the grunt closer to her enemies weapons.

Seeing the horrid chamber ahead, Yishim flies into an arcane fury and races into the fray. He unleashes a burst of fire which catches the torturer off-guard.

Although she jumped a little when an arrow 'thunked' into the door frame, Cheysuli kept her cool. When she caught a meaningful look from Firete, the tiefling girl heaved as hard as she could on the door, slamming it shut once more.
Finding herself face to face with a goblin, Chey had to act quickly; she uttered a quick curse as she raised her rod and unleashed a blast of green energy toward the goblin's face.

Brenwar moves forward to engage the creature however the creature is ready for him as he approaches and nimble dodges the hammer blow. With a sigh of frustration Brenwar waits for a more opportune moment to strike.
