The Jade Frontier, part 2 (DM: THB, Judge: Lord Sessadore)

As the warrior who's mind she had invaded took his last breath, Chey felt her powers surge and once more she leapt through the Fey plane, her spirit dancing too and fro as wind filled leaves again.
The tree-stuff quickly reforms into Cheysuli, but she soon fades into the background as shadows once more begin to cling to her. She raises her rod and points it straight at the masked goblin, blue-white flames dance in the warlock's eyes and about her hands as she spits out "May you be inflicted with hundred fold the pain you have dealt!"

The floor under the torturer cracks and white hot flame sprites erupt from the tears, they fly about the goblin striking him over and over with whips of blue flame that melt through his flesh.
Content to leave the goblin to his torment for a while, Cheysuli darts back toward the door, looking to get a little cover behind Miranna and Brenwar.

Unnerved by the odds against him, the torturer takes a cautious step back and settles into a defensive stance, clearly hoping to make you work to kill him.

The remaining archers take shots at the closest targets. One arrow bounces off Brenwar's armor, but the other hits Miranna in the leg, causing her to stagger slightly.

Miranna continued to focus most of her attention on the torturer- for the moment she was content to simply keep swinging at him, more as a distraction than anything else. The halfhearted sword-blows served to focus her concentration, though, driving back the worst of the pain from her injuries. She did manage enough attention to flick a few glittering sparks of lightning towards the goblin archer, just so he knew which foe to watch out for...

Seeing that the creature is retreating Brenwar pushes forward. He carefully surveys the creature's new defensive stance before batting the creature's weapon out of the way. This leaves the goblin open to a solid thump of Brenwar's hammer against its chest. Once again the creature's weapon is wrapped in ethereal strands causing it to become unwieldy.

I hope your plan is a good one, Firete shouts back, because I can only do so much at a time to save foolish people who rush in when they ought'nt! She steps back carefully and slashes at the torturer with her sword as she does.
