The Last Gods - In Game - The Sword and Scale Trading Company

Holding the diamond in one hand, Orin smirks at Aram's comment regarding the dagger."I tend to agree. So unless you're volunteering to be the test subject, Halidon..." He lifts the diamond up to let it sparkle in the light from the fire. "Let's see if I'm strong enough." Without waiting for an objection, he breaks the diamond. [OOC: Hopefully! ;)]

Seeing that speed is clearly the preference in camp, Halidon shrugs/

"Well, so long as guessing is good enough to save the world from a crazed god of destruction, that's fine with me."

Aram

Grinning at Halidon's trepidations, Aram smiles widely. "Don't worry. Sneaking up on a god and sticking a knife in his back has always been on the top of my list for things to do before I die."

Skleroc quickly dons his back pack and readies his shield before Orin goes to crush the gem. Whatever they'll see on the other side, he'll at least be ready. The Lizardfolk concentrates briefly and smiles. "I am ready."

OOC: Skleroc's Draconic Aura grants all allies within 30ft radius a +2 bonus to Spot, Listen and Initiative checks. The aura will change from time to time, but I'll let you know when that is the case. :)

Using all of his strength Orin smashes the diamond against a boulder that Kageri had earlier been using as a stool, with a great crack and a blinding flash of light the diamond splinters apart.

As the light fades, leaving sparkling motes dancing before your eyes, you find yourselves standing on a narrow path that leads off into the distance. On either side of you is a sheer drop of thousands of feet to what look like sharp rocks far below. Off in the distance, you can just make out the shape of an enormous building that must be the Mausoleum of the Gods.

Skleroc's amber eyes blink slowly a few times as the light fades. Looking around slowly, the Lizardfolk simply grunts in acceptance and rests his morningstar on his right shoulder and then releases his breath and resumes his normal breathing.

"Remember, ssstay within ssspitting distanccce of me if you want the boon of the Great T'ptocol," he adds slowly as he starts his way towards the building in the far distance.

OOC: That's the Draconic Aura of the Dragon Shaman, and Skleroc believes that it was granted to him by the Bronze Dragon, T'ptocol, because of his servitude to him.

"We are going to take a look around. We need a better vantage point." says Kageri. A woosh of great bird wings can be heard as Kageri channels the energy of his mantle. Free from the binds placed on those who walk on two feet, he takes to the air held aloft by his convictions.

Aram

"Call me crazy, but things look exactly how I pictured them," says Aram, standing on the brink and looking over the side fearlessly. With scimitar drawn in one hand, he points to the building in the distance. "That must be our destination." Without further words, the short, athletic southerner begins moving down the narrow path as easily as if it were a hundred feet wide.

OOC: Aram will move out ahead of the rest of the group, but take care to stay within 30' of Slkeroc.
