The Legolas Feat

Ive searched but cant find it. I am sure that a couple of years ago, there was feat in Dragon mag that duplicated Legolas' (in the movies) ability to use an arrow as a stabbing weapon. Or to use it efficiently.

Maybe Im dreaming.

All I know for sure was in 3e you could use an arrow for a d4 stabber at -4 to hit. Not sure if you can in 3.5, I don't see why you couldn't.

I must have been imagining this in the post Fellowship of the Ring days of 2001/2. :\

Cooler image - the monk is fighting a fiend with DR 15/Silver, and having trouble doing any damage; the monk's ally shoots a silver arrow at him, which he snatches and uses to stab the fiend...

Becasue for the cost of one attack, he gives the monk a weapon he can use for multiple attacks.

Unless one has arrows being destroyed when used as melee weapons as well as ammunition, in which case he would be better off shooting at the fiend...

... except in certain circumstances - for example, the fiend is invisible and the monk has Blind Fight, giving him a better chance of hitting than the archer.

Or we could go with the Arcane Archer and his Long-Range Buff Delivery System.

Imbue Arrow, monk snatches it and injects himself with Bull's Strength.
