Vlastos

Orb aloft and aglow, Vlastos moves to O7, and after a glance at Vixo's nifty thief-work, he keeps an eye out for attacking hoards and what not from the unexplored portion of the tomb.

Look here? The wizard's at point - that can't be right, he says as he takes his position!

Vixo doesn't see anything on the machine itself he can manipulate, but he does notice along the wall near it (L11) is a small control panel. It's pretty complicated, even to the kobold's trap-savvy knowledge. (Complexity 2 skill challenge - Thievery only , DC 22 - 6 successes before 3 failures).

Vlastos doesn't see any threats from down the hall. The light source moves with the mage.

The machine continues to grind it's gears and lash out with its blades, but Steppyn's dagger continues to hold, and the contraption remains stuck in the alcove.

Steppyn: 27/27

OOC: Valthosian, that's been one effective stunt.

Brain and JRYoung, I still need your wish lists.

OOC: Skalisss' wish list:

1) Dwarven Full Plate +1 (or just +1 Plate if Dwarven is over the the budget)
2) Amulet of Protection +1

"We ssshould wear down the machine with ranged attacksss while it isss ssstuck" comments Skalisss.

Skalisss joins Trevor and takes a defensive stance.

"Very well, we will see if they can deactivate the machine some other way."

Move Action: move to N8.

Standard Action: Skalisss goes Total Defense - he gains +2 to all defenses until the start of his next turn.

Upon Steppyn's failure at the control panel, the blades on the machine immediately lash out again, coming uncomfortably close to the drow (burst 1 sword attack, Steppyn is just far enough away to be out of burst).

That thing's nastier than a sun burnt cave troll, says Vlastos. Wait, why not do both? Work the control panel and open fire on the trap at the same time?
