The New Style

Where were you in the 80's? Siberia?
Well, come now ... we don't know how old Irda Ranger is. It's entirely possible IR was born in the late 80s or early 90s and completely missed out.

It wasn't that great of a cartoon anyways (most 80s cartoons weren't). But viewed through the rosy colored lens of nostalgia, it was fantastic.

Ironically, last night at the FLGS I was kidding around with some guys about how I wanted to play Venger in 4e. :)

Oh, well then. I am roughly his contemporary, and I liked the show (I saw it in reruns). He has no excuse. ;)

You people that watched the cartoon were lucky... you are among the privileged few who got to see a thief-acrobat in actual play!

I played a thief-acrobat through "Against the Giants".

I had a player take a TA through Ravenloft, too. That was... interesting.

Actually, come to think of it, I've had two TAs go through Ravenloft. I can't believe I almost forgot the one Strahd tricked into jumping off the balcony -- that is to say, the one that overlooked the valley below. The other one was a lot more competant.

Are you kidding me? I was born in '78 and it was only THE show to be when I was growing up.
