Fizban the Fabulous is, of course, the accident-prone, befuddled alter-ego of Dragonlance’s god of good dragons, Paladine, the platinum dragon (Dragonlance’s version of Bahamut).

Which makes my guess earlier this year spot on!

Now I am thinking about the return of the 3.5 spellcale PC races and other "dragontouched" subraces from 3.5 Dragon Magic. But I am afraid we will not see these because they wouldn't appear in the previous UA articles.

I miss oriental, lungs (imperial dragons in Pathfinder) but these should appear in an update Oriental Adventures isekai/xuanhuan sourcebook or Kara-Tur reboot.

The planar dragons are cool, and you haven't worry about where add more space and hunt-territory for them because they come from beyond planes. Even some planar dragons could be perfect for Ravenloft. If there are planar dragons I hope we could see planar dragonborn subraces. And wouldn't be cute a fluffy toy of a faerie dragonborn?

* Are ki-rin a dragontouched specie? In my little poney they are canon

* We have to remember Fizban in the age of mortals... he was "nerfed". I wonder about the power level. If Raitslin could plane-walk then Fizban should can also. And the spheres of Dragonlance+Forgotten Realms+Greyhawk are allied against a common menace, the Vodoni empire. This means a really good reason for Fizban to visit other spheres.

* Theorically there is only one dragon in Athas/Dark Sun, because we don't know if the canon still says Spynewyrms to be dragons. Here my opinion Paizo had a good idea.

* If Dragonlance returns, who is going to produce the teleserie, Disney, Paramount or Netflix? This is not a stupid question if Hasbro wants Dragonlance to be a multimedia cash-cow franchise. Teorically Hasbro should learn how to push the right keys to produce action-live tiles based in their IPs.

* Fortnite skins based in Dragonlance characters? Flint and Tass are too shorts and that can break power balance in a shooter multiplayer, but these could be ally nPCs in he same way the wolves and boards as "tamed pets"

Avatars may have a different set of rules dictating where they can and cannot go. Tasha and Mordenkainen can visit anywhere they can get to, including Ed Greenwood's kitchen!

As far as the Lady of Pain is concerned, there is so many unknowns that maybe she can also show up in Ed Greenwood's kitchen, much to his dismay.

At the risk of both being pedantic and bringing up a potentially sensitive topic, you know that DL was largely a Mormon parable and that Christianity (from which Mormonism stems) includes many, many stories of a good God obliterating whole populations for their sins, right?

One of the reasons I don't think a DL reboot would work is that it is too deeply rooted in the symbols of the faith of its creators.

I always wondered why there was such an issue with the Cataclysm. Seem pretty bog standard mythology to me.

I mean, good grief, we got a world war (for a given value of the word world) in the ancient world because of a beauty contest between goddesses that D&D treats as good that saw massive deaths and suffering.

Sending the flaming booger of the gawds because folks stepped out of line? This is pretty standard IMO.

Sure. He plays three dragon ante every tenday with Mordenkainen, Volo, Tasha, Xanathar, and Van Richten.

Glad we made it nearly 300 posts before the Forgotten Realms bashing started.

So who will Tiamat be posing as if we take this seriously?

I was thinking of using those Wyrmspeaker masks as possessing the means to turn their wearer into a dragon of the same species as the mask.
However if a group of them each wearing a different dragon species mask its possible for them to merge and create a suitable host for Tiamat herself thereby skipping the Divine Gates.

Yes, well, got to say this for DragonLance:: Takhisis is a helluva power and gravitas upgrade on Tiamat. From lesser godling divine prisoner on the first plane of Hell to Prime Goddess of All that is Evil. As divine promotions go, that one is rather large!

No one would call Aphrodite a good god so we don't hold her to standards, we instead call her "The type of fandom mum who will knife a dude for her ships to happen". But if you tell me "The good gods hucked a meteor at the planet because this man was allegedly doing too much good" then you've got an instant disconnect. And that's before I even get into that "yeah nah no one was doing anything remotely good" problem

If there was no alignment thing and it was just "Gods throw rock, everyone dies, gods surprised pikachu face when civilisation don't care for gods any more" it would have gone down better
