Technically, you can talk to a chicken foot and rest at the same time.
Also the fight started after 10:30 and the cargo loading was before 6 so there never was time for a long rest. As long as nothing happens in the first hour on the road it isn't a problem.Azurewraith

Nothing. And she attempted a short rest without a healing kit because I forgot about (and didn't full understand) the Vitality rules.
But... I already said it sucks for Ana. She already complained about the "early" departure. She'll attempt a short rest on the cart. It's not a problem. The spell casters are worse off. Aloysuis has zero 1st level spells available and Asha has only one left. They should complain to Gheedon about the unexpected departure. I'm guessing most of us assumed Odrin needed a full day with access to the lumber mill. Not just 6 hours.
I'm not expecting an OOC solution.

Sorry if that sounded passive aggressive you can take a short rest if you want when chicken footing. Aloy snook in a short rest when he had his nightmare.
It's not vitality requiring the kit its healers kit dependancy. You still unsure of vitality rules? I can go over them.
