It looks like a sequel to Troy!

Yeah, I know, it is a sequel to the Iliad. My point is, the movie Troy was a dull conventional adaptation full of Hollywood tropes and anachronistic armour. I would hope for something more, well, unconventional from Nolan. Even the telling of the story in two timelines that converge at the end has been done before - indeed I suspect it’s where Nolan got the idea for Dunkirk from.

Still maybe he will pull off some sort of surprise. Maybe it’s actually James Joyce in fancy dress.

They only recently finished principal photography. I imagine the supernatural stuff and the fancy special effects aren’t final yet. There’s months before it comes out. I’m sure we’ll see more.
