They only recently finished principal photography. I imagine the supernatural stuff and the fancy special effects aren’t final yet. There’s months before it comes out. I’m sure we’ll see more.It looks like a sequel to Troy!
Yeah, I know, it is a sequel to the Iliad. My point is, the movie Troy was a dull conventional adaptation full of Hollywood tropes and anachronistic armour. I would hope for something more, well, unconventional from Nolan. Even the telling of the story in two timelines that converge at the end has been done before - indeed I suspect it’s where Nolan got the idea for Dunkirk from.
Still maybe he will pull off some sort of surprise. Maybe it’s actually James Joyce in fancy dress.
I wasn’t really thinking of the supernatural stuff. Irrespective of it it goes for grounded or high fantasy, it still looks very conventional. They only recently finished principal photography. It's certainly not a patch on the classic retelling.Geez, this looks washed out and drab.
I'll watch it, 'cause I'm a sucker for these tales, but what I wouldn't give for someone with a more colorful and ... well, gay, sensibility to have made this film.
Yeah, great show that! It's certainly not a patch on the classic retelling.
It always tickled me that the show began with Ulysses having negotiated a trade treaty with King Priam of Troy.Yeah, great show that!
