The Retaking of Forgehold - 4E

Arden moves to C5 and casts light on the sarcophagus in d9 (move+minor). The previously cast light spell fades.

OOC:I need to know what we can se in the newly illuminated area before i complete my action, please
Guys, should I really use sleep? I'm afraid I may regret it later. As an alternative, spending an action point I can try to slow one and daze another with good chances (vs for)
Mal, we did rest in the end.

OOC : Your call. Sleep isn't much of a big bad guy spell that you need to save for last. It's more of an opportunity situation. It's about catching as many people as possible and screwing with their day. If it looks like you can catch enough monster in a single blast to make it worth it, I say go for it. Now or later, it will save us the same overall ressources in term of damage avoided. If you think you have a shot later on for even more monsters, save it a bit longer. So let's wait for the light!

PS : Mathematically, you want at least 4 monsters to be caught in your spell and as many as possible to be melee monsters who are more than 4 square away from the team. That way, assuming 50% odds of hitting, you have a 50% odds of knocking a monster unconscious (more if you are an orb wizard, I forget) on top of losing at least one round of attack for all melee monsters.

Yeah that's my concern. Also, I don't think this is gonna be the last fight of the day, and even though sleep isn't ideal against singular strong monsters, i doubt that the tribe chief would be alone. Anyway, as you said, let's wait for the light and if I can catch many i'll consider sleep.

-''Hey, Mira, I know you're in pain but do you think you can shut down that damn dart trap?''

OOC : Yeah, we're kind of losing sight from the fact that the armor suit shot a damn dart at Mal. 4e traps usually reload. This is gonna keep happenening unless we do something. Time for our rogue to show her stuff.

so, the kobolds ran off into the darkness? I'm gonna attack the slinger one.

"This one is not going anywhere!"
Angel put a curse on the Kobold Slinger

Angel focuses her eldritch powers at the creature and a large talon of shadow shoots out from the ground and impales the kobold off the ground. The Talon then rakes across the room dragging the unfortunate creature along.

Diabolical grasp (1d20 4=24, 2d8 4=15, 1d6=6)

critical hit; thats 26 damages and the kobold is slidded 4 squares down.

"Are you okay Mira? You should let the front line to Telsayn and your brother" says Angel, concerned about the young girl's health.

OOC : Never mind the square sliding, I think you just one-shot that kobold slinger! Awesome.

-''Oh yeah! Great job, Angel. You splattered blood all the way up to here but these are stains I won't mind cleaning.''

The Kobold slinger is dead. ((I think he is actually more than -Bloodied actually.)) Squished might describe the destroyed mess then talon scrapes along the floor...
