The Retaking of Forgehold - 4E

[sblock=Enemy Stats](AC/F/R/W) Slinger(13,12,14,12) --
Kobold(15,11,13,11) Guard Drake(15,15,13,12)[/sblock]

Angel moves to E4 and puts a curse on the kobold slinger.

"let me put you out of your misery..."

She throws a bolt of purple eldritch magic toward the kobold, but misses and the bolt gets lost in the darkness....

*Telsayn hold off.

Mal rushes inside the corridor, sees the drake, gulps and then tries to whack it.

-''Is that a Kobold's idea of a dog?!''

Cleave (1d20+8=13, 1d10+4=12)

Mal misses, curses. Relying on years of practice, he recovers from his righthand slash swiftly and backshand once more into the drake.

Cleave Redux (1d10+10=18, 1d10+4=6)

This time Mals breach the drakes defense and he uses his momentum to attack viciously the kobold standing in the stairwell.

The kobold collapses in a heap.

Mira ducks down below the lip of the coffin for cover, slowly crawling to the other side before popping up and releasing a Shuriken at the slinger that had just flung the glue at the dragon born. The silvery glint crosses the distance in a flash and lodges itself in the skirmisher's throat in a well of blood, though the very presence of the metal weapon keeps some of the blood in saving the creature from an instant death.**

The Kobolds throw spears at Mal. (1d20 5=8, 2=, 1d20 5=14, 2=)
The slinger also targets Mal... WITH GLUE! (1d20 6=17, 1d6 3=6) Which hit squarely, on Mal's shield.

The large, muscular lizard savagely bites at Aelek, (1d20 6=12, 1d10 9=14) but the beast doesn't get through the armor.

The second brutally clamps its jaws onto Mal's leg, it's powerful bite driving his armor into his leg, wounding him badly. (1d20 6=22, 1d10 9=18)

*I have a lot of time to post, so I'm just skipping you for right now. Let me know if this is objectionable. I consider having you breathe, and I will retcon the Guard drakes getting hurt if that is the case.

Mira tries to move stealthily from where she launched the last attack using the coffins, but it wasn't any good, she stepped on some rubble and it creaked loudly under foot (nat 1).

Frowning at the rubble, she tells it to be quiet, and then throws herself sideways, using Aelek's bulk between her and the Drakes to keep them guessing. The girl releases a shuriken in the middle of her cartwheel, but all the little metal weapon manages to strike sparks as it hits the ceiling above the Drakes head

(Missed the attack (rolled a 10), Mira is now in H8 (should have been in G2 to start the turn))

Arden tries to get rid of the weaker kobolds behind the first line, a targets one with another magic bolt.
(magic missile at kobold in g15, 19 vs ref, 8 force dmg ). Then he tries to move the rope his magic hand is holding as far from the kobolds as possible.

OOC: If you get your turn in by the close or even to me by email, I will be ready to post as soon as it returns.
siliconjedi kobold at goblin gmail orc dot bugbear com without humanoids.

"Yes." replies Aleek to Mal's question and then saw the wound Mal's recieved "And that's is your idea of a flesh wound. On your right!" As Aelek makes the call, both teh Tiefling and the figther swing the sword at the drake, who has no space

[SBLOCK=OOC... Mal, read that!]Minor action: Inspiring Word. Mal's can spead an healing surge and gain 1d6=2 more hp.

Standard Action: Anvil and Hammer against guard Drake (1d20+5=22, 1d8+2=7, 1d20+8=18, 1d10+8=18). The drake received a total of 25 damages.

Just saw that... MAL!!!! Don't use d10 on attack roll, you won't touch as much as you should. ;)[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=OOC]If that damn glueing Kobold had hit me, I might have had an heart attack!

And damn that Drake hits hard. 18hp? I went from 34/34 to bloodied in one shot. Aelek Inspiring Word boost me back to 26 but we need to kill those thing fast.

Time to start rolling D20 for attack rolls instead of D10! ;)[/sblock]

Covering Strike (1d20+8=22, 2d10+4=17)

Mal Makes a powerful strike against the Drake, using his shield to distract the other Drake and hopefully allowing an ally to slip past.

-''Come on Tel, Hit the other big lizard!''

OOC : 6 + 25 +17 = 48 points of damage on the drake. Please be dead! Gene, we need to know if the Drake is dead, because if he is, I can shift Tel two square (if he accepts) to G12 so that he could get a flanking bonus against the second drake by shifting to F13.

Tel ; I strongly recommend enfeebling striker or whatever else you got that could penalize this goon's attack roll. He hits hard.

(OOC: I'm giving Vargo a little more time before I assuming Telsayn is delaying even more. Plus I'm a little stressed out as far as posting.))

Arden kills another kobold in the back.

Aelek and Mal work together to kill the first Drake.
Working together, they allow Telsayn the opportunity to slide forward to start encircling the drake.

OOC : Time to crack up with the encounter powers.

Tel should shift to F13 to get flanking bonus and use his smite encounter power that does 2D8+4 and gives -2 to hit. Plus, issue you challenge.

Yes, that opens Tel to a flanking from the kobold down the corridor but wait! There is still Angel to act.

Then Angel should do her diabolical grasp power and, on top of nasty damage, she will be able to slide the drake away from Tel toward us! Have the drake end at the corner between Mal and Aelek at F10. That Way Tel can't get flanked.

Now if the Drake wants to attack Mal or Aelek, he has -4 and takes 7 hp of damage. If it wants to go back toward Tel, Mal gets an AoO at +10 and if he hits (80%) the drake stops moving. Incidently, Aelek also could get AoO in that situation.

And if it ends it turn there, Mira can get easy flanking on him on her next action.

Wee! We'll skin that dog. This translate in battlefield talk as follow:

-''Tel, Whack the dog! Angel, pull it toward us!''

"Anything for you darling" Says Angel with a smile as her eyes darkens. She raises her hands toward the drake...

"But I suggest you step out of the way... right... now!"

The ground around the drake starts boiling with shadow and red fumes. before it can understand whats going on, a large bloodied talon of darkness shoots out of the ground and impales it, Mal barely have anytime to clear the way and the drake is violently dragged across the ground to F10, as Mal requested.

Diaboolical grasp, vs fort. (1d20 4=24, 2d8 4=10, 1d6=6)

critical ladies; 26 damages.

OOC: does being forcefully moved provoke opportunity attacks? because if thats the case; Tel and Mal would probably get some.
