The Retaking of Forgehold - 4E

"Ooh, pretty." Mira says to the glowing figures the Arden uses to prove his points. "I say we go with the pretty light plan. Its just so colorful it has to work." the young girl says smiling brightly.

"Lets rest tonight and be up and heading out by dawn. Is everyone ok with that plan? It means no drinking tonight or you wont be able to get up, and you'll be all grumpy and mean."

Angel puts her hand to her head and sigh saying "you guys are giving me a headache with your strategy argument and battle formation..."

"I'm going back to my room now..."

Angel starts walking away from the group as she pulls her hoody back on, heading toward the inn

"Pretty confusing, maybe using Mal's nick's would be better for your light show." Wolfheart tells as he looks at the formation. "Mal's formation seems better if we are sure to have a frontal attack. Arden's give something more solid in the back if we can expect a rear attack. But that's something we should avoid.

For the line, I would rather second, but I don't think we will need that formation yet."

As Mira suggets everyone to rest. "I had my pint of stout. That's fine. Anyway, we have something to do tomorrow, it's not time to celebrate."

"You say that like you can ever know for sure where the enemy are coming from. We should use the one that is best in both situations instead of one thats good only if they atttack the front or only if they attack the back. Be ready for anything the enemy could do not just what you hope they will do." Mira says, and then looks at Mal questioningly. "Thats right isn't it? Being ready for everything not just what you think will happen?"

''Actually, sis, you can't be ready for everything and it's a waste of ressource to try to be. You play the odds, not the paranoid game. Sure, we could be attacken from behind. By mysteririous foes who are able to move faster than we walk without making a sound to alert us. I may sound facetious, but I'm sure it will happen. Wraiths for example. But I'm unwilling to sacrifice 33% of the frontline to prepare for a situation that will occur 5% of the time. It makes no sense. I'd rather start one fight out of twenty at a disadvantage than one out of three.''

Back to the Inn where the party is to stay the night, Angel walks toward the bar and sits down on a stool. She makes sign to the bartender to come over

"I'll take a bottle of ale. Whatever you have. strong." says Angel without much emotions in her words.

"Is it possible to have a warm bath prepared in my room?" she then asks.

Angel quickly glances around the room to spot anything unusual such as someone staring at her, but she seems more interested by her upcoming drink...

You awaken in the morning refreshed and ready to set out on your mission. You take a little time to prepare yourselves for the journey, then set out.

You travel 15 miles from Fallcrest into the wilderness to find the once-sprawling Cadorna manor. Your journey is uneventful. Inside the crumbling manor, you find a trapdoor at the base of an old guard tower. Not noticing anything amiss, you open the door revealing a square room with a 10 foot wide stone stairway descending.

I am assuming Arden's Marching order as that seemed to be the consensus (with strong objection from Mal).

"You'd think that there would be some sign of the kobolds here if there were 3 tribes living in the area." Mira comments as she waits for everyone to get ready to move into the passage.

OOC: What are you looking to find out?

There are some scattered refuse piles outside, and a lot of shredded fabric in them. There are also obvious tracks of small clawed humanoids coming and in and out opf the trap door.
