The Retaking of Forgehold - 4E

What an engaging conversation. The debate is gripping. Life, death, money, honor... so engrossing that it makes it possible for the kobold that has fulfilled its bargain witht the honorable paladin to stealthily slip out the door. Stealth (1d20 5=17) Beats all your passive perceptions, doesn't it?

"I don't like the idea to leaving a kobold here. He worth money, and they havn't been really mercyfull. Maybe if he want to have his tail cut we can..." Wolfheart turns aroudn and look at the kobold to see if he want to have his tail cut... but can't find him. "Well, he's gone. We can forget to tell about that last one, or he could have been gone from the lair while we were here, or we can make the council forgive us for one kobold as we present them a dragon head. I think we will be able to handle that."

Aelek looks at the last corridor. "I think Mal is right about that Dragon on all the line. Just too bad he is a cold dragon. I would have prefered one that throw fire, but he must be vulnerable to fire. Arden, if there is no other way, don't hesitate to throw your fire spell on the dragon even if it include me... except if I'm unconscious."

"Mal, after you."

DM said:
You follow a long, winding passage from the kobold chieftain’s throne room down and down into the earth. Eventually, the finely worked stone tunnels give way to natural passages. Finally, you come upon a large cavern. The air is unnaturally cold in here. In the center of the room is a large pool of frozen dark water. The cavern is quiet.

As you begin to enter the room, a large swift form of a White Dragon flies out from behind the pillar at the back of the room. Only Telsayn has his wits about him quickly and he charges (1d20 5=21, 1d8 2=9) the dragon.

Mira shifts back against the wall to hide in the shadows and take stock for a moment, then the girl bursts into action, flinging a Shuriken at the beast.

The Dragon shift a bit and claws and bites Telsayn, injuring him with a wicked claw.

[sblock=OOC]I think the dragon was supposed to target our passive perception. Active perception is for when we spent a minor action on it.[/sblock]

Mal circles the dragon a bit south, winds back for a powerful attack and slams into the beast as hard as he can.

Brutal Strike (1d20+8=27, 3d10+4=22)

[sblock=OOC]The dragon is marked. Mal is at M11.[/sblock]
