The Retaking of Forgehold - 4E

Mira recoils instinctively at the sight of such a malevolent, even if it did have a beautiful form. Steeling herself for the fight, the girl runs forward, skirting the edge of the icy pool. As she moves her hand dips into her shuriken pouch and then flashes forward sending the sharpened metal points at the brutes face to blind it.

Arden waits for Mira to attack. Seeing she blinded the beast, he moves a few steps forward and unleashes an eldritch missile of force, which strikes the bulky creature.

Angel moves up to I-10 and takes a deep breath of lair's cold air.

"It's a bit too cold for me here...."

Her first strike misses but the Flames of Plegethos wrack the dragon!**

Telsayn moves up along the edge of the ice and shouts out a booming rebuke in draconic, the power of Bahamut behind his words.** The blinded dragon roars in anger and spite.

On Pain Of Death (1d20 6=19, 3d8 4=16) (Daily)
[/sblock]

Wreathing flames char the dragon's body. The dragon blindly flies over and lands on the ice, hoping it will hinder attacks until he can regain his vision. Despite the pain (1d8=2) of resisting Bahamut's geas, it breathes cloud of chilling frost over the area the intruders were in. Aelek and Arden avoid the blast, but Mal is frozen and his movements hampered ((19hp, slowed, weakened, save ends))

The elemental forces at conflict within the beast lash out, and you all feel an instinctive desire to hide from its fury, but your heroic determination keeps you in control.

[sblock=Dragon Stats]AC 18; Fortitude 20, Reflex 18, Will 17[/sblock]

Aelek moves next to the Dragon (L11) and shouts "Time to show who we are!" and swipes his sword, using all his skills with it. He touch him, landing a solid blow. "Mal! Come on, don't stare at the dragon and moves!"

[SBLOCK=OOC]If you use the old roll, here is it: Bastion of defence (1d20+6=18, 3d8+2=15), while using Student of the Sword.

If you need a new roll, here it is: Bastion of Defence (new roll) (1d20+6=24, 3d8+2=9) Either way, I hit, but the original roll did more damage...

And I forgot, I have combat advantage on both of these roll, so it has no doubt they both it.

The dragon is marked but Mal is acting after me, if he attack his mark will supersedes mine.

Everyone gain +1 to all defences and 9 temporary hit points for the remaining of the encounter.

Also, Minor action for Inspiring word on Mal, he can spend an healing surge and heal Inspiring Word (1d6=2) more damage.[/SBLOCK]

Mal moves forward and tries to exploit the dragon's blindness but his blow bounces of the scale of the beast.

Brute Strike (1d20+10=14, 1d10+4=6)

Save (1d20=7)

[sblock=OOC]Ends at L11. I screwed the Brute strike damage but it doesn't matter since I missed.

Turns out it would have needed to be a charge instead, anyway. Doesn't matter, the roll stands and miss.

25hp + 9 temp and I won't mark the beast, I'll let Tel do it.

New Defences:
AC : 20
Ref : 15
WIll : 14
Fort : 18[/sblock]

Once her brother had caught the flailing Dragon's attention Mira darted forward from behind the pillar. Leaping in the air as she approached the girl drew her sword plunging it downward with her momentum, aiming to bite deep into the dragon's tail.

Luck is with the girl and her blade bites deep causing the dragon to roar in pain and reel about.

(Move to L8,
Dazing Strike: 21
Damage: 13; Dragon is Dazed until the end of Mira's next turn)

Arden moves behind his fellows and targets again the beast with a magic missile, but this time misses.

[sblock=ooc] move to g7, magic missile rolled a 7...[/sblock]

Telsayn moves towards the dragon and challenges it to strike him. He strikes him while charged with the power of Bahamut.
The dragon is bloodied. It roars in pain and reacts by breathing a cloud of frost, targeting the dragonborn, but misses him, freezing his allies.
Telsayn bolsters Mal's resolve, allowing him break out of the layers of ice.
