The Retaking of Forgehold - 4E

Her attack complete, Mira does her best to slink away from the beast without drawing its attention. Once she is safely back to cover, the girl sends another shuriken at the bleeding white dragon, this time aimed at the junction of its wings, hoping to bite into the spine.

The metal throwing weapon flies true, and bites deep, sticking into the dragons back so deeply that it is almost completely hiddenfrom view.

(Moves to J6, provokes an OA, but she has an AC of 19 for this attack, and the dragon has a -2

Sly Flourish: Hits (27), Damage (20))

[sblock=OOC DM]I got slightly confused at that lasy Telsayn/dragon turns. arent we slowed&weakened when we are hit by the dragon's breath?[/sblock]

if weakened/slowed: Angel uses Eyebite and misses, and moves to H6. (shadow walk)

if not weaken/slowed: Angel uses eldritch blast and misses, and moves to J6. (shadow walk/partial wall cover)

[sblock=rolls]did both action in one roll: Eyebite 2 vs will 1d6 2/eldritch blast 4 vs reflex 1d10 4 / curse
(1d20=2, 1d6 2=4, 1d10 4=13, 1d6=1)
4 vs will for eyebite, 6 vs reflex for eldritch blast. unless I get like +15 for whatever advantage, thats a miss =P [/sblock]

-''He's weakening! Let's finish this!''

Mal sees and opening and strikes a powerful blow, transefering all his might into the blade as he punches through the scales and cuts the beast deep.

Then he prepares himself for the counter attack.
brute strike (1d20+8=28, 3d10+4=12 but it's a critical so 34!)

[sblock=OOC]Based on the status report I see at the end of Gene's last post, it looks like I'm no longer weakened thanks to Tel. What are we gonna do without him, eh? Great timing for my first critical; instead of a pitiful 12 hp, I do 34! Woot.

I mark the dragon. Let him attack me. People should shift away from me as much as possible. We should try to wrap around him wider. I use my AP and use my standard to take my second wind. With the +4 from Aelek's warlord power, Mal is back at 34/34

Until his next turn, defences are at +2 due to second wind, so:

AC : 22
ref : 17
for : 20
Will :16

"Mal! Pincer!" shouts Aelek. Aelek swing his sword and Mal's immitate him. The dragon instinctively try to avoid Mal's Blow, and with success, but get hit by Wolfheart's sword.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Wolfheart attack (with Combat Advantage); Wolfheart damage; Mal's Basic Attack; Mal's Damage (with +4 dam) (1d20+7=22, 1d8+2=6, 1d20+8=13, 1d10+8=13)

Damned, too bad Mal miss, that is good damage gone. AT least Aleek has done 6 damages.[/SBLOCK]

Unfortunately for her, the dragon sees her ty to slip away and bites her, bruising her through her armor. OA: Bite vs. AC (1d20 6--2-2=26, 1d8 4 1d6=8) That's a crit, 18 hp cold damage for Mira.
Sly Flourish: Hits (27), Damage (20))[/sblock]

Arden launches a projectile of cold at the dragon, hoping to slow it down. It physically strikes the dragon, but the cold is not strong enough to harm him.
[/sblock=Arden turnb]
(Chill strike 19 vs For, 19 cold dmg + daze ...does the dragon have any penaly to defenses? otherwise this won't hit. damn.)
save made
DM: There is flavor text about the dragon being too strong for the spell. Read it as attack roll failed to overcome fort.[/sblock]

Angel uses Eyebite and misses. She tries to get out of view of the dragon.[sblock=OOC DM and rolls]
DM OVERRIDE: I stopped you at H7 as your speed is 2 under slowed.

Teslayn breathes at the dragon, but there is no effect. Moving a step away from Mal, he swings at the dragon and misses.

Mira screams in pain and feels a dull popping in her side as the dragon bites down on her side. Even though the giant teeth didn't draw too much blood, the sheer pressure of the giant maw biting down was immense and the girl was worried that some of her ribs, and maybe even her shoulder was broken. Still, there wasn't anything to do about it now,it'd have to wait until they could catch their breaths...if they won the fight.

Shuddering in pain as she tries to breath, Mira hides against the wall to let the beast's attention pass over her and on to the others, and then sends another shuriken at the beast. What was supposed to be a smooth movement turns into a jerky one as Mira trips falling into the open before she releases the Shuriken giving the Dragon time to react to the projectile (Nat 1 on Stealth), and react it does, dropping its wing briefly to allow the metal disc to pass harmlessly above it.

(OOC: Nat 1 on stealth, 3 on Attack for a 10 total missing)
