Hi all,
I decided, what the heck, I'd post a bunch of my old NPC's from our 2nd edition game (with the many expansions) set in an alternate Forgotten realms, especially in the Savage North. They aren't the "monsters" that many npc's are as many were PC's first and our game is designed to be balanced and anything but Monte Haul. If there is any interest I'll post about two a day... we have hundreds.
Name: Ferran of Brel-Moor(Ferran the younger, the Wizard of Brel-Moor, the of Sage Brel-Moor)
Alignment: Lawful Neutral (good tendencies)
Racial/Cultural Bonus: none
Social Class: UMC (only child of Ferran the Sage)
Class: 8th level Wizard/Mentalist (+2 to saves vs mentalist spells/effects; reduced spell points for specialty spell; victims saving throws are at a –1 penalty; 15% bonus to learning Mentalism spell; -15% penalty to learning non-Mentalist spells; automatic spell research of any Mentalist spell at each new spell level; creating new mentalist spells are as if one level lower; casting time for Mentalist spells reduced by 1; Taboo: may not wear bright colored clothing)
Kit: Mystic( temporary sub-ability score boost; the meditation necessary for a mystic must be begun under decent conditions)
Advantages: Precise Memory( 1

Disadvantages: Bruises easily(+1 hp damage per die of blunt damage)
Description: Ferran is a small and precise man with a penetrating gaze and an easy way with people. He makes much of his size, of his non-threatening appearance and of his almost uncanny ability to read others. He rarely provokes confrontations, and never then without a damned good reason. At just a touch over 5’6” tall and weighing barely 130lbs, he is small for a Waterdavian of good family, but he does have the typical hawkish features and pale skin tone of one to offset his medium long, pony tailed, raven wing black hair and pale gray eyes. Ferran prefers to dress in wizardly robes and gowns and is the quintessential Mystic by appearance as well as by inclination.
