OOC: Casandra is human, by the way, not elven.

"Greetings Dwarf. We have saved your life today, my friend. We are exploring these parts in search of certain artifacts our employer is interested in. We believe they are in the Pyramid. Do you know this area well? What happened to you? Are you able to speak our language?"

 

[Jarval]

"I think he's right." Osric agrees with Khulmbanos. "Any creature big enough to make those tracks is going to be more than my fighting skills can handle. We need to get in, grab the beetle, and get out quick. And the Diana should stay airborne while we're away. We don't want anyone sneaking up on Tchikkatlikkit, or half-inching the ship."

 

[Badger]

Afraid that she may have thought he had been stricked dumb from his wounds, Delg tried his best to answer her questions as best as he could.

"Ye all be in th' middle o' Hautama, th' Great Wasteland. Before th' time o' me father's father this land was as green as it is barren now."

As he recalls his ambush, Delg looks away from his savior and at the statue where he had been tied.

"I was lookin' fer me brother Tragus when a sandstorm came across me camp, and with the storm came th' desert rats. They was all o'er me 'fore I knew what was what, and th' next thing I t' see is ye standin' o'er me."

Pausing just for a moment to relook the woman in her eyes, Delg resumed.

"As fer these ruins, ye may know more than I. We stay out o' the wastes fer good reason, and if'n it weren't fer me brother goin' missin', ye'd not see me out here at all."

 

[Manzanita]

Casandra turns to the others. This big lizard worries me. Let us make haste & hope is it satiated & will not return for some time. I think we should investigate the pyramid & let the Diana rise into the air. We can summon it when we return. It doesn't appear this dwarf knows much useful. Shall we go?"

 

[Festy_Dog]

Riss nods and slings his bow over his shoulder before drawing his melee weapons. A old katana with one fifth broken off the end and a battered wakizashi (ooc: they count as a long sword and short sword ).

"In and out," he says, "Sorry to have to say this Hremelan but you can expect some fighting in there."

 

[Badger]

Feeling his temper flare despite his multitude of wounds, Delg begins to wonder exactly what manner of people these are that he has been rescued by.

"If ye are goin' in th' home o' th' rats, I'd like t' go with ye. If'n there be a chance me brother still lives, I could do no less. Plus ye saved me life, and I'm not t' be leavin' ye until I have done the same."

Doing his best to stretch his fatigued limbs out and limber up slightly, Delg seems not at all disturbed by the tattered state of his robes as he does so.

Popping his neck, Delg's vision swims as he involuntarily drops to one knee. Trying to stand back up, only Delg's sunburnt face keeps his embarrassment from showing.

"Sorry lass, must be a tad weaker than me thought..."

"We could use a local as a guide & interpreter, I would think, Delg. Do you fight? Or have other skills as well?"

 

[Jarval]

"Well, he's not going to be any use to us if he's going to pass out. We'd better fix him up a bit." Osric holds the symbol of Kord over the dwarf's head, and chants to invoke the healing powers of his god.


Casting cure light wound spontaneously, in place of divine favor

In response to Khulmbanos's plan to smoke the goblins out, Ashan shakes his head severely. "That's fundamentally dishonest. Better to head in and fight them square."

He then looks over at Hremelan and says in a serious tone of voice, "There should be plenty of rough stuff down there — just enough to keep tough guys like us happy — right, bo?" He then breaks into a broad grin and laughs as he unstraps his light pick. "As for the rest, that all sounds jake to me. Let's go glom this dingus."
