The Seven Realms - Chapter The First - A Curse of Storms and Green Eyes

The Storm continues, the lightning and thunder almost shaking the walls. Aaldar heads upstairs to get decent, while others discuss matters.

Aidan seems to remember something, that is at the back of his mind...something about evil storms and undead, but he can't seem to remember what it is...just that the storms are called Banestorms.

 

[Orvallon]

OCC: Is there anything we can do to minmize the risk of Calimortin's wife coming back as an undead (like a proper burrial)? Also, does Divine Health protect Kaltesis against the rot?

OOC: Given that you don't know what is causing them to rise, it's hard to say what will stop it. More information is needed. As for the wounds, the wound on Kaltesis seems just as rotted and corrupted as any of the others.

Once Frea returns saying that the horses are okay, Erkenbrand calms down.

"Whatever we do, I say we wait for the light of morning before haring off. Dark times for dark plans, but light skies make for lighter steps."

"Erkenbrand is right, going out in this storm without cause seems a fools errand." Looking around for the servant girl, "Is there a high window in this inn where one with sharp eyes could see most of the town and look for signs that others are in danger?"

 

[Orvallon]

Toby has Dora sitting at a table in the common room, she looks up at Larris's question, her green eyes wide. "There are windows in the rooms upstairs, but what would you see in all that darkness outside?"

She seems only tenuously connected, at best, with events around her.

"Maybe nothing, but the lightning flashes are very bright. When it flashes we might see people fleeing or other signs of combat and destruction. Failing that, the green glow of their eyes might also be visable in the dark. "

"There is something else. You said earlier that the horror was coming for you when Mrs. Calimorton got in the way. Do you know any reason they might have been after you?"

 

[Orvallon]

She blinks, then shakes her head no, laying her head on her arms, shuddering.

Toby looks at Dora, then at Larris. "Them fellas was looking at Dora, too, till Master Calimorton put them out." He thinks a minute, then says, "I'll go up and look out, if you want."

Aaldar Human Wizard

Aaldar opens the door to his room and walks to his clothes. Dry enough I suppose. Aaldar gets dressed, sits down on the bed, and rubs his eyes. I'm not sure I can go down there again and face those fine people. I could fade away, leave some money for the room, and drop off those books. No! These people might need my help and I theirs. I need to get back downstairs in case something else happens. There is great safety in numbers.

Aaldar stands up and walks back downstairs. "I suppose this is more appropriate. Again, I'm sorry for my earlier lack of manners. I assure you no offense was intended."

Oxana - Female Half-Celestial Bard

Oxana frowns at Calimortons statement about the other winged woman. "Odria on the River you say.... what else did she say?"

Should I tell them... They deserve to know atleast a part of the reason they were wounded this night..

She turns to the rest of the group in the room. "She, the other winged woman, is my mother. I've been following her trail for some weeks now, trying to find out what happened to her."

 

[Steve Gorak]

"I agree, we should rest for the night, and seek out information tomorrow. We should have our wounds checked out at a church too."

OCC: Is there a church or Aeos in this city? If not, would Kaltesis know where the closest one is?
