The Shield: Season 7

That was a great way to end the show.

Vic still defiant but stripped of everything that meant so much to him. I think that Vic's mind is compartmental enough that he will cope with his empty new life and he will believe that he still can get back what he has lost but I have to wonder how many options he has now that nearly every cop in L.A. knows that is is a
cop killer and that he sold out his partner to life behind bars.

It was heartbreaking to watch what happened with Shane and his family. Lem was my favorite character on the show so I loathed Shane for what he die but still, I didn't want him to go down that path.

I felt Ronnie as well. He was totally loyal to Vic and look what that got him: "What about MY choice Vic!"

Man, I am really going to miss this show but Shawn Ryan did a great job in wrapping it up.
I really thought Ronnie was going to play a bigger part, running, double crossing vick, something. But Ronnie stayed Ronnie, faithful, loyal and sne up the river.

I'm glad they paced the last few episodes the wya they did.

BTW, did I miss something what happened to the boy serial killer. One minute claudette was intergating him, then dutch was gloating, and i didn't get what happened.

I don't think that you missed anything. There really wasn't all much to that: Claudette initially comes in and acts like she is buying the kid's story. Then she eventually tells Lloyd that she knows that Dutch didn't do it and that she knows that Lloyd has killed his mother and that he was going to spend the weekend as a guest of the county. Later, she tells Dutch that eventually the kid will break and then they would have him. Later Dutch is gloating to the kid. If the kid broke, it certainly wasn't on camera and it certainly wasn't made all that clear that he did break other than admitting that everyone that came to southern California did so to become famous. All in all, the sub-plot with the teenage serial killer was the weakest part of not only the final episode but the entire seventh season. I could have done with out it even though it did involve Dutch who was my favorite character on the show next to Lem.

Yeah it was weak and the fact that it was unresolved bugs me (though that is probably to do the "business continues" kind of thing). I would have liked to see the kid not a serial killer, just to show how Dutch's obession can hurt him just as much as anyone else.
