The simple joys in life

I have not had buttered toast in a long time......until today. I can't believe how good it is. Cold water too, I am drinking it in excess lately (I fear I may float away). What simple things in life do you enjoy?

Silence - not the noise of the world while nobody is talking, but the sound computers make when they arn't plugged in.

Long hot showers - so hot that when the door is opened, people outside the bathroom are blinded by steam and stagger away from the heat.

I suspect most people have never known the simple joy of watching a monkey knife-fight.

I like opening windows. Everywhere I go, I try to open windows.

Summer rain. That silence right after you turn of a tv, computer, radio, fan, ect... Waking up...and not having to get up.

the daily crossword puzzle in the newspaper
chocolate
petting my cat (until he decides to bite)
running on the beach before 7:00 AM
painting miniatures
gaming with friends

I have a lot more I'm sure. I'm a big fan of the simple things.

Being in the arms (naked and all of course, but well) of a nice woman, while plenty of money on the bank account and no problems ahead.

Obviously not something for the near future alas...

I'm not sure I'd consider any of those simple. In fact, those are essentially the goals in life.

I'm drawing a blank here. Maybe I should take time to enjoy more simple things.

A cup of hot coffee or tea, or chocolate. A chunk of good bread and some cheese. Showers. Play-fighting. Talking with friends. Setting two alarms, one 10 minutes early so you can laze around in bed
