Complaining about complaining is analogous to the worm Ouroboros, in my opinion.

My first thought when I read the complaint.

The majority of complaints and huzzahs generally have reasons for what they like or dislike. A lot of times people come up with alternatives to the suppositions. I am equally entertained by the cheers and the jeers. Except for a very few posters, the discourse has been great and made people really consider what is important in D&D.
Even better I've learned about several games that use mechanics like those being discussed in the design blogs. Burning Wheel and Shadow of Yesterday were completely off my radar until the thread about social combat.

Given that I referenced the invent of 3e in the OP, yes.

Ummm... would you believe that I was mugged by tieflings right before I read that paragraph, and a gnome scrolled past it while I was unconscious so that I didn't get a chance to see it?
