The strangely brightening comet

Having finally decided that Humanity is a threat, the automated probe ignited its fusion rockets and boosted for home.

Looks like it's fading to me.

It doesn't seem to be fading as quickly as it would if its brightening was due to one outburst of dust, so something more complex is going on, plus it seems to be developing a gas tail.

Unbeknownst to us, it's releasing a massive burst of tetryons, bombarding the Earth with exotic cosmic radiation which will soon begin to mutate some people.

I sneezed this morning, and the force of it shattered my mirror, and blew a 3' wide hole through the wall behind the mirror. Should I be concerned? Can I name Comet Holmes on my homeowner's insurance claim?

Yeah, it seems to be fading as it gets larger. I haven't seen a tail yet, but the skies in Seattle have been obscured the last couple of days.

Cool, the first of the metahumans reveal themselves. I too have changed...or my house has. It not only has the ability to teleport money out of my accounts into various service companies, like plumbers, electricians, it has the ability to disguise major problems as less-serious ones.

If you're going to name Comet Holmes on your insurance claim, I'd submit it as C. Holmes, visitor.
