Actually, a lot of children's books explain the sub-prime crisis very well. Just look for the story of the Emperor's New Clothes because that's a profound parallel of what happened.

Amusing, though a very one-sided story. The Federal Reserve (with prodding from the government) had a hand in this, but the slide show doesn't go into it.
