This is an OSRIC adventure for characters of 1st level.
For nearly fifty years a lonely tower has stood in the woods near the Village of Gray Rock. A reclusive old wizard chose this place to make a home for himself and his servants. It was within easy walking distance of the village but far enough away from it to keep prying eyes, and ears, away from his business.
But old mages die.....eventually..... and so did Xyloz. Or so everyone thinks. No one is entirely sure. But no one has seen him in decades. No one who knew him still lives in the village. But stories persist. It is said that he summoned demons there. Others say that the tower is haunted by the ghost of the conjurer himself. But one thing is certain. If anyone wants to find something valuable around this village that is probably where one would find it. Most of the villagers are too scared to visit the place. Vast amounts of the wizard’s treasure may still be there to be found!
