The Unapproachable East

Rasheman Witch PrC has been done — it's the Hathran PrC in the FRCS. :) As for setting books, I'd really like (and I know it's been done twice) Amn, Calimshan, and Tethyr, but at the same time, I'll take what I get — and Unapproachable East looks interesting, so...no beef.

Best,

Actually, I'm not greatly interested in the Silver Marches perse. I would prefer the Unnaproachable East, or the Sword Coast (or the islands, perhaps, maybe even Chult, Calimshan or Tethyr).

I looked at it in the store, and it really irked me there was so littel information on the High Forest. What gives?

And, does it annoy anyone else that there seems to be no good crunchy Thayan stuff? No necromancer stuff, no good, yummy undead? Or Resheamen Witch PrC?

I think the rest of the high forest will be covered in whatever supplement details the part just south of the Silver marches. However SM did go over quite a bit in the High Forest. If it was in the north part they talked about it. They even talked about parts that were not on the map.

Look in lords of darkness, the thayan knight is pretty croonchy.

Right now, I'm leaning towards the Shining South for the next book. A Halruua campaign would be great --- a VERY high magic environment, where even the commoners can sling a few spells.

Of course, Chult has a lot of potential, too. It's a harder sell than Waterdeep or Cormyr, but it would be an interesting alternative to central Faerun.

I didn't buy the Silver Marches sourcebook, since my campaign is in Cormyr and Dales (and Planes & Underdark & Westgate... etc ;)). And the Peerless Archer irritated me a bit. Ranged Power Attack.. yeah right.

Unapproachable East I'll probably buy. Red Wizards are very intresting, since they've evolved from the "BWAHAHHAAHAA" evil to commercial activities. Makes sense, considering their history.

Is it just me or are the hagspawn roughly copied on Creature Collection 2's Haglings ?

(Well, technically, haglings are normal children distorter by hag magic, while hagspawns, with a name like that, are probably the actual offspring of hags. Still it's pretty close.)

As for the censored race, it's probably not Star Elf. Why would they censor its existence if they aknowledge it in the region part ?

The censored race is probably something wholly new to WotC D&D 3e. Maybe an all-new creature, so that a mere name would not be much enlightening ("Blurgblurg ? What the heck is a blurgblurg ?"). The other possibility would be a conversion of something from an older edition (before Gnoll ? the Flumph ?), but then why censor it, when the Taer is mentionned ?

So, I would say it's useless to speculate on what the mystery race is, as I think it's not something we know.

Well, because they screwed up, I guess.

All of these other races are getting writeups [presumbably PHB-type, for use as PCs]. Then somewhere in the book there's a reference to Star Elves as a region. To have a regional listing, we first need a description of the population in question, right?

This has gotta be either Spelljammer elves or a new subrace...or both. Maybe these are immigrants from the tears of Selune? Or a moon/drow crossbreed?

Mystery race

If I wanted to inspire discussion on an outline, I would probably pick something and list is as "censored." The tactic certainly worked here....
