The "Unfair" server penalties : )

This morning, my character died. Stuff happens.

However, when I woke up at the fugue, I had zero gold. Zero. Out of almost 7 million gold ; )

I don't really mind, but wanted to show this as proof that something is wrong with the gold penalty on death.

It's strange that you get the Gold penalty applied twice. If you had about 7 million gp, then 750k gp would be around 10%, which seems about the norm. Maybe there's a script that drains more gold when you're over a certain amount (maybe 1 million)?
