The very sporadic ever slowing game

For Paskatoy
The half-elf looks at you with some shock, "If it is Bernlin the Illusionist you seek, the thief is at the Open Arms Inn."
The guard speaks with a questioning tone, "I pray to Ehlonna you have come here to dispatch the whole den of rogues that reside there."

After eating the fruit, the bread, and some of the meat. Talea rises and puts her backpack back on.

"I thank you, barkeep, for a wonderful meal. But now I must go find lodging for the night since your inn is full."

Talea walks out of the inn and around town looking at the townsfolk and asking a few who appear trustworthy if she could lodge with them for the evening. After getting a couple of negative responses, she'll sigh and head to the Open Arms Inn keeping an eye out for thieves.

ooc: getting there hopefully around the same time that kaboom's char and Sollir's char would be heading there(if they head there immediately)

Vorgoth arives

Vorgoth flies slowly over the town til he sees that it is indeed trenton that Zaar had spoken of before, he slows down and lands near the stadium. His sword is some 5 ft long and he is wearing a monk's outfit with psionic writings covering the vest. His elven features are evident since he wearing no cloak or hood.

He walks up to the guard and bows
"May i have a look around inside, the master of my charge spoke of it as a magnificent site."

I have to work all weekend and won't be able to post till Monday.

For Vorgorth
The startled guard struggles to regain his composure, “Umm..uh”. The guard shakes his head and quickly calms. "Sorry, I've seen people fly before, I just haven't had any of them land right next to me. Entrance to the stands is 8 silver pieces, to enter the competition it will cost 510 gold pieces or 10 gold pieces, depending on how much you value your life.”
The guard then offers a quick description, “The coliseum is a huge complex; it has two entrance ways at its opposite ends. The path splits at a set of stairs (both entrances). One set leads to the lower area, the competitors’ section, the other leads to the stands. The competitors section has several rooms and storage areas that form a circle around the center, the “pit”, and there is a partial view of the pit through a fenced section. (If the pit floor is considered ground level (-), the competitors’ section (_) is at a halfway point between it and a sublevel ___}---- ) The stands are oval shaped and consist of twenty large rows with the “pit” in the center. The row closest to the pit is set about 4ft above it. Clerics “walk” (more like sit and wait) this section and heal between fights. The pit floor is stone but has a very thin layer of sand on top of it, easier to clean up blood and other fluids, just sweep it up and throw down some more. It has a wooden dome supported by a metal framework”

For Paskatoy
“I call them rogues good sir, because that is what they are. They loot any area they come through and hide their actions by bribes to those in power. I would run them through with this very blade, all of them, even if I were to die before my task was done.”
The guard steps close but you still struggle to hear his whisper, “But as I said they have bribed those in power, including our good Lord Trenton and none of the locals may cross him.”
A second guard approaches , “Shift change Elcon.”
The first guard nods in response, “Good day, and fare well traveler,” then he quickly walks away.
“Do you need to ask something more?” asks the second guard, a human (the one Sollir is talking to now or talks to later in Game Time.)

OOC
I'll be online around ten CST tonight, if anyone needs to ask me something< ICQ or My chatroom

"Very well then, thanks for your help." Ghaleon thinks better, senseing that there might be something wrong, but decides to head to the Open Arms Inn anyways, trusting lady luck to bring him a new adventure.

(Edit, +2 strength rolled for Bull's Strength, lasts for the next 9 hrs.)

Just realized I messed up my own directions … oh well
It seems almost everyone is headed to the OAI
OOC

The Arms is a two story building with barred windows and a reinforced metal door; it hard to believe this place is (was) an inn. It looks much more like a prison. To the side is a stable, though it is quite simple it looks to be in good condition and while there are no animals or attendants, the barrels are stocked with feed. The door is slightly ajar, but the most prominent feature of the inn is a large construct (I figure everyone playing can identify it as a shield guardian) at that door. The construct is not moving, but careful observation can detect the tiny viper that is sliding between its joints.
Paskatoy is the first to arrive and while considering storing his animals at the stable, Talea approaches from one direction and Ghaleon approaches from the other.

I’ll leave it to the players to describe their characters to each other if they want. Most have done a good job of it in previous posts and I think I would be wasting everyone’s time if I did it here. Also if anyone wants to make a thread in the Rogues Gallery for the characters, go for it.
OOC

If any player comes within a foot of the door, a voice from inside will say “Come on in, xx (replace xx with race, the language will also be the appropriate one for that race)”

On entry, PCs will note four tables. At one is a gnome with an open spell book on the table and a rod in his hand. The second table is occupied by a hooded figure who is seems talking to himself, “If attacker launches assault from the left… flank…counterstrike…”.(Talea recognizes him as Azoc). The third table is empty and the last is covered with bottles. Two half-elves sit at opposite ends and are drinking any of the ones that have yet to be empty (very few full bottles). Oh, and they are identical twins.
