the vulture and the zombie

(Actually, I see a Dark Crystal Skeksis, covered in whipped cream...)

You know, I do great impressions of the Chamberlain, the Garthim Master, the Emperor, and the Scientist... but it's a completely wasted talent in a text-based medium! :(

Ooh, great image! But I think it would work better with a "witch hunter" archetype than a "knight in shining armor" like the paladin -- although I guess the paladin's game mechanics work just fine for it.

That really depends on your paladin stereotype doesn't it.

Hmmm, I don't know where you would find any these days, but Grenadier used to have a vulture figure and rider as part of it's Dark Elf line in Fantasy Warriors. Sculpted by Mark Copplestone it is a pretty nifty figure, I wish that I had a few more myself...

The Auld Grump

River of Blood had a carrion dragon that likes to eat corpses and therefore hates corpses that run away... e.g. undead.

I think it's really nice and wouldn't assume it appropriate to have a living animal as companion to a ghoulthing.

That's a really fantastic idea. Like it a lot. So much so, that its going to have to go in the stealing pile!

I think it's quite reasonable that vultures would try to eat zombies, then use skeletons as 'beak-picks' :)

Such a beast could be magical. Perhaps blessed by/a pet of the God of Death? Kind of like a slightly creepy pegasus.

Perhaps a celestial vulture? Advance it to large sized...

I wonder what sort of basic personality it would have. i.e. Dog = friendly, Cat = aloof, Giant Dire Vulture = ?

brooding or burping, no middle ground :)
