The WalkinG Dead 2.12 Better Angels (spoilers)

I'd also put Carole and Andrea on the hit list. It might be fun to start taking odds. Certainly if you haven't said or done much, you're a good candidate for becoming zombie chow. But I'd put money on losing at least one member of the core group.

Who's safe? I'm betting Rick, Glen, Maggie, Carl, and Lori (for now), have immunity. Hershel might also be a good candidate to die, since he'd be going down defending what's his.

Looks like the season finale is ending exactly as it should -- Massive zombie showdown!

I agree with your list except for Andrea.

They've spent a good deal of this season doing character development with her, and I don't think they can waste the opportunity to explore the tension between her and Rick over the Shane thing. On a note unrelated to story, I think they want to keep a "tough girl" character on the show to appeal to as wide a viewership as possible.

I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of Herschel's family and Carol end up zombie chow though.:)

Randall deserved to die. He was far too stupid for his own good. He actually believed Shane's BS.

I'm starting to think Glen might be gay. I mean, come on, Maggie is all over him like a hot rash and he's brushing her off. Wth? It's the ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE! Stop being a picky, whiny little pooh-head, sheesh!

Aside from that, it just doesn't make sense. She's hot, she's relatively sane, she wants him... in a situation like theirs, I just don't see anyone with a heartbeat knocking back a good thing. Whether you're PTSD'ing or not, companionship is the one thing people would be seeking out, not denying themselves.

But he lost his EDGE, man! Don'tcha understand! He lost his edge!

Low self-esteem can really kill your skills with dealing with romance, as can depression and PTSD. Glen has at least 2 of those working against him.

As for those we won't see next season I'm thinking this is Herschel's last stand.

the preview for next week (swipe for spoilers)
certainly gives that impression of Hershel - his last stand at the farm

I'm still guessing the girl who attempted suicide a few episodes back and the other silent member of the farm will die, as will T-Dog. Possibly Daryl - but, I think they may keep him around until the group meets Merle again so they can have a brother-to-brother showdown.

Who the hell mentioned romance?

In all seriousness, romance, marriage, white-picket fences... these things have gone out the window. When the whole world has fallen to pieces and the likelihood of you seeing tomorrow isn't assured, tell me what human-being WOULDN'T be looking to hook-up?

I'm not being crude here, I'm just talking realities and human nature. People would be seeking comfort, companionship and just plain sex. Nobody would care about modern conventions or mores.

I liked Rick's decisive action (after a lot of indecision, to be fair). I also liked the way Randall was resolved, rather shamelessly.

I was a little bit bothered by dramatic conceit. Carl somehow escapes and shows up just at the perfect moment? Also, what was with some of those flashes of zombie images?

Great. Thanks for that.
