The WalkinG Dead 2.12 Better Angels (spoilers)

I'm just talking realities and human nature. People would be seeking comfort, companionship and just plain sex.

So am I.

People with LSE, PTSD, or clinical depression can find themselves completely incapable of even the basic animalistic levels of intimacy. They may even find physical contact repugnant.

I'm NOT saying Glen has gone that far, but I am saying he may be having enough intimacy issues right now that hooking up with the hottest chick around is not quite the no-brainer, easy choice to make.

Also, what was with some of those flashes of zombie images?

I know- that threw me too!

I'm not being crude here, I'm just talking realities and human nature. People would be seeking comfort, companionship and just plain sex. Nobody would care about modern conventions or mores.
I am of the opinion that your understanding of realities and human nature isn't necessarily shared by all of humanity. Perhaps said understanding is more personal that you might think.

I liked Rick's decisive action (after a lot of indecision, to be fair). I also liked the way Randall was resolved, rather shamelessly.

I was a little bit bothered by dramatic conceit. Carl somehow escapes and shows up just at the perfect moment? Also, what was with some of those flashes of zombie images?

Great. Thanks for that.

Remember the earlier seen where they were fixing up the barn - Carl went to the upper level and had binoculars and was overlooking a lot of the area. I think he was probably up there and saw Rick/Shane coming back and thought it was a couple of walkers (it was dark, after all) Carl goes down and runs out with his gun, hoping to redeem himself for the other day with Dale and that walker. Only, he shows up and finds his dad there... and soon to be zombie Shane.

So you're a heterosexual male in a Zombie Apocalypse and an attractive, intelligent woman of your age invites you to her room and you knock her back, do you?

Absofreakinglutely would I be looking to hook-up with any remotely attractive female that would have me in a ZA. I see zero shame in that. In fact, if I knew the addresses of any, as soon as the ZA hits and I'm on the road and got my supplies in order, I'd be making those places my number one stop-over points.

Here I come, Amy Acker!

At the time I assumed it was what was going through Shane's mind since they seemed to focus on him when they were doing it. One theory I have is that there might be some kind of instinctual, collective unconscious since they've referred to 'herds' before and the tendency for the dead to group together.

Depends on a whole lot of factors; in his situation as I see it, you bet it do.

Hard to believe, I'm sure, but when I saw my best friend die violently I didn't feel like having sex for weeks. Never got horny once when my brother was on his deathbed, either.

Maybe, just maybe, we're not all wired the same as you.

I guess I'm more of a Jayne than a Book.

Which is a big problem with the world today, I say!

As Fast Learner illustrates- and I've been pointing out- humans under stress often do not have healthy sex drives...and it can go in 2 ways: some go dormant; some go hypersexual. Some of the hypersexualized ones can even start crossing their normal gender preferences.

You can now get Zombiagra online from other countries for reasonable prices. If the apocalypse lasts more than four hours, consult your mortician.

I'm pretty sure there was a quick shot of Carl in the house looking out into the darkness for the people who had gone hunting Randall. Then there was a shot of Rick and Shane (maybe right after the melee) that showed the farmhouse in view across the field. I took that to imply that Carl had witnessed at least some of the fight between Rick and Shane.

I´ve not seen any spoilers for the next episode or read the comics; if you were in Rick's shoes, what would you do, with perhaps 30 minutes before the horde will reach the farm? What´s the plan?
