The WotC Art Galleries

I don't know who did it, but I really dig this pseudodragon:

That's Wayne Reynolds. Not only is his style very distinctive and recognizable, but that piece is signed.

I think Brom did a fantastic job of defining the look of Dark Sun, much like WAR defines Eberron today.

This is the one I love most - it's a shame the quality of this one's so bad...

Try not to get too bogged down in non-WotC artists. I know they are out there but I was hoping that, with so, so many WotC art galleries to go through, some folks would be able to point out the particular favorites of thier own and give all of us a chance to catch some rising star we might have missed. :)

I like most of the art I've seen in the various WOTC products recently. I'll try to go back and see if I have a favorite artist but most people have mentioned the outstanding ones already.

I don't much care if it's B&W or color, though obviously there are some styles and subjects that lend themselves better to one or another.

Can't say I've seen much humorous art from WoTC products. Which peices?

About the only thing I don't like from the art gallery are the PC Portraits series. I've looked through all of them. Of those, there are maybe two that I'd put on a PC or NPC. They are universally some of the ugliest people I've seen, regardless of the artist.

Oh! I missed that the first time around. How does WAR define Eberron? His works on all the covers, but very little of it is in the books itself. Steve Prescott was the lead conceptual artist for Eberron, and he has more pics in the books to boot.
