Just noticed these on amazon.com.

- [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Dungeons-Dragons-Forgotten-Legends-Omnibus/dp/1600109977"]Drizzt graphic novel[/ame] with an August 23, 2011 release date.

If I had to guess, the Dark Sun graphic novel is probably a compilation of the recent 5-issue Dark Sun comic book limited series by IDW.

The Drizzt graphic novel appears to be a compilation of the comic book adaptions of the first three Drizzt novels (Homeland, Exile, Sojourn), originally done by Devil's Due Publishing back in 2005-2006.

Three versions of the same board game? And its practically 4 in a year.

Most people probably just need one. But maybe they want two.
I suspect you're not an avid board gammer. People like expansions and variations on board games as much as they like expansions and variations on RPGs.

I have both board games so far and plan to get the next two. I've played both of them and enjoy them quite a bit. I suspect I'm not the only one.

This seems kind of weird to me. 4 board games in a year is saturation, but 4 books in a year would be seen as an indication something is very wrong?

And being an avid board gamer, you know that, say, Puerto Rico, has two expansions?

Avid board gamers, at least back in my day, use to play different board games. Conviently, there are hundreds to choose from, many available at shops that use to sell RPGs.

RPGs, and especially D&D, are totally different animals. You can spend ungodly numbers of hours playing just one "game".
