There is one thing about the Scout that annoys me

if you read my posts above you would know already. The answer to that has been no as I dont use miniatures for every 5' walked through a dungeon. Its assumed he has jumped clear. We also dont use minis very much at all, unless its a special battle that warrants it.

That works just fine. The case above was if the rogue was alone and of the mind "toss a fireball in after me".


Late Edit**** For the record (to everyone interested) I drove home my players yesterday and we discussed the whole Scout thing, they all agreed that it seems abit over the top. Ironically, the player that plays the Rogue usually was the one who didnt like it the most. He's trying a Sorcerer at the moment but says he misses the Rogue (its his favorite class).

But that doesn't answer the question.
A shift of 20 feet (or more depending on how the clear area relates to the fireball's center location) outside of the rogue's turn can be a very big deal.
