[sarcasm]A bunch of computer geeks download a show about computer geeks and watch it. Wow. Ya, that'll make the WB put it on the air.[/sarcasm]

Seriously, though, it doesn't matter. First off, saying you get an extra 10,000 hits on your website doesn't mean anything. It's a website so, by the very nature of the internet, these hits could be coming from anywhere, not just the US, which is where the WB's target audience lives.

Secondly, 10,000 hits, even if they did all come from the US, does not translate well into ratings and that is all the WB is concerned with.

Third, Fox brought back Family Guy because it made a lot ton of money in DVD sales. This show hasn't made any money. Why should the WB put it on?

They've put out, and cancelled, too many crappy shows that have a core audience that probably makes up the bulk of the people who downloaded Global Frequency. You don't see WB clamoring to put those shows back on the air, do you?

Do you do anything other than troll? This is the second thread I've seen you simply post inflamatory comments in.

I thought you were going to ignore my posts? ;)

Anyway, I'm not trolling. I gave valid arguments as to why I don't think this will work. If you don't want to read my stuff, then don't, like you said you would. There's an "Add [user] to your ignore list" option if you want to use it.

And, besides, if all you think I do is troll, then look in other topics and read my posts there, if you're so inclined.

I am suspicious of this. I suspect they never intended to air the pilot and have purposefully leaked it through the Internet. Given the subject matter of the material, it's the perfect way to market it and too ironic to be coincidence, IMO.

Since you've been exhibiting "trollish" behavior in both the threads I've seen you posting in, I was posting more to warn the other people in the thread.

In case for some reason you can't tell when you are being obnoxious in stating your opinion. I'll give you an example.

There was no need to be sarcastic at all here. You could simply have said "I don't think that simply because a bunch of people who download stuff like this, downloaded the pilot will make WB want to put it on the air."

Notice the change in tone? Remember that being sarcastic means you are showing contempt for the opinion you are being sarcastic about. So it's not usually the best tactic to take if you simply want to make a point and aren't interested in annoying people.

I do find it odd, that I can't recall seeing any posts from you before, yet you have over 2000 posts. However, when the first two posts (Here and the Farscape Thread) I see from you seem to be deliberately inflamatory it does attract my attention.

I save the Ignore list for people who are pointlessly rude and abusive in multiple threads. While, you seem to be touchy, you've not gone much beyond the bounds of moderately polite conversation.

Don't worry, if you keep posting like you have. I'll put you on the ignore list soon enough.

Sorry if you feel that way. Not trying to troll; just stating opinions you don't agree with.

Try reading what I posted more carefully. At no point in this thread did I say anything about the points you were making. Just the way you were making those points, you seem to be somewhat politeness impaired.

I'm sorry if you think I'm being impolite. If you read my other posts, you'll see I am very polite. As I've stated before, tone usually doesn't come over on the boards. Maybe I should have said [jokingly sarcastic] instead.

Yes tone is difficult to convey in posts. However, your problem isn't just tone. If you are not intending to be inflamatory then you are expressing things is a way that would depend on both body language and tone to avoid being obnoxious.

That's why it pays to be careful in how you phrase things. Using Sarcasm expresses a certain amount of contempt for the opinion expressed and the person expressing it. So it's best avoided in situations where your intention is NOT to be insulting, especially if you are using other words like "computer Geek" which are less than complimentary when you are applying them to other people.
