D&D 5E Thespian background ?

What sort of benefit would you gain if you had a thespian background ?

Performance, Persuasion and Disguise Kit proficiencies. Maybe an extra set of clothes and a disguise kit (makeup kit) and minimal gold.

Why not just use the Entertainer background? "Actor" is on the list of entertainer routines, after all.

A thespian is a specialist entertainer, thusly I thought that it would need it's own background information.

You could say that about any kind of entertainer, though. What makes a thespian more special than a singer or dancer or sword swallower? The gladiator is different enough that it got its own variant to the entertainer background, but I personally would argue that thespian is one of the concepts that the default entertainer is meant to cover.

Yeah, actors are listed as one of the eight sample entertainers in the PHB.
