They'd revoke my D&D gamer license if they knew....

I don't really like how dragons are portrayed in DnD.

Too many don't breathe fire (is this for metagame reasons?), many aren't evil or even forces to be opposed, and they're expected to be intelligent masterminds with masses of minions and/or alliances with other villainous organizations, kobold worshippers or insane human cultists, and strange creatures they keep around just for mating with. I miss dragons like Smaug. He could have been a tad smarter and tougher, but he was solitary, villainous, and not a pervert.

Dungeons are okay. They're generally limited in use in campaigns I've been in due to plot.

I dislike anthropomorphic animals...they all look like furries to me.

I dislike races that only exist to provide subtle variations on a theme. "No, these elves aren't the same as others, because they live in the jungle and like to bake!"

I dislike dungeons that have no purpose other than as a mad wizard storage facility for weird monsters.

I dislike creatures with more than two templates applied.

I like humanoids that have purposes beyond, "Die on the end of an adventurer's spear."

I like monsters that are mysterious, rather than handily referenced at the local sage. "Ah, yes, the rare, almost unknown green-throated hack troll. Very unusual. Just stab them where the 'X' is on this diagram and then search their spleen for emeralds."

I like dragons.

I like black unicorns. They seem more appropriate as a collectible for goth chicks.

I love dungeons.
I love dragons.
I hate 75% of the published settings out there.
And I've never been to GenCon or Origins because I have trouble being nice to people with hygiene issues.

Well that and I'm cheap :p

You?

I could take them or leave them. I've used them so rarely that they might as well not exist. Very, very seldom have I ever had a character encounter one (save one campaign where we actively hunted them for the magical properies of their blood or organs).

joe b.

License revoked.

Now go stand in that line over there so you can be slapped. ;)

I dislike old school dungeons with no reasonable ecology or reason why the creatures exist there. I don't mind the monster in the room IF you can adequately explain why it's there.

Plane-hopping.

I like plane-hopping, actually, but the plane-hopping of alternate dimensions and Crisis on Infinite Earths and Roger Zelazny's "Amber" series and Queen of the Demonweb Pits. I hate the way Planescape made the planes - collection of (usually) infinite universes - seem finite.
