What's RL?

"Robot League" d20 Modern ultimate robot fighting championship

"Right Left" d20 Modern alignment system

"Red Light" d20 Modern hooker rules

He can't have meant "Real Life". That would just be silly. :D

Of course, it's entierly possible someone doesn't like GURPS, you know...

I don't, not really...

Lots of other people don't like GURPS, either, and yet that hasn't stopped them from buying GURPS books and ripping off the ideas in it. :D

The GURPS books mentioned above are mostly background information - the rules portions are small, and can easily be converted to d20.

But duct tape already does that! It doesn't have to be magic! I'm buying d20 modern for the chance to play Mecha Crusade, and perhaps get away from wierdo punk goths in my Vampire group.

By the way, my GURPS is BESM.

These statements are true; 1) lots of people don't like GURPs, and 2) lots of people use their books as supplements for other games. I suspect you would find less on a message board based on d20,specifically, Dungeons and Dragons 3e. Regardless, a book where the ideas are already statted out for d20 is much more convenient than getting a sourcebook (or 4 sourcebooks as you suggest) and doing your own conversion.

In short, a pointless post that has started a chain reaction of pointless posts now, including this one :D Get d20 Modern.

Magic Duct Tape is cool

but I want a +2 Keen Chainsaw. How can you not want a game where chainsaws are stated weapons? That can be magicked up? He he he he he he ha ha hah ha hahahaha! Mwa ha ha! Hee.

Duct Tape of Repair: This magic brand of duct tape can repair damaged objects and vehicles. When a 5-foot strip of the duct tape is applied to the damaged area, the duct tape disappears and the object regains 1d8+5 hit points instantly.

This goes absolutely perfect with the Lock It Down feat from Spycraft.
"You can patch a vehicle back together with duct tape and bubblegum... while it is moving."

Gotta love it... :)
