Yes, you shouldn't insult crappy shows like Buffy! You might offend some of the craptastic people who watch them. You should insult really crappy shows, like The Powerpuff Girls and the Jackie Chan adventures! Those shows are so crappy, every time I see them, it brings a smile to my face.

Hey, if you really want to be cool and hip, you can call everything crap, and act all artsy, saying that Jackie Chan should actually be French, and that Angel should be pronounced "Ahn'juuu."

May I particularly recommend Issue 18 : Understanding Gamers. It clarifies all the issues about dorkness and geekness mentioned above !

I do read Dork Tower. And Knights of the Dinner Table.

They are to RPG's what Dilbert is to working in an office. Everything in them is true. Everything.

And this thread wins the award for "Most Rambling" in my experience.

And I love the Hierarchy thing too. But it doesn't answer where Dorks come into it...

So the dude doesn't like DnD? So what? That doesn't make my jaw drop. As for it getting past editors, they are cool at that magazine and let their writers say what they want. That's why I like the magazine. Plus, I know there are a couple of reviewers that do play DnD on that staff. Besides, roleplaying is kind of dorky. That's ok, its still fun. Nothing wrong with being dorky once or twice a week.
