That being said, when the EE comes out, I'll be watching it a gazillion times in a row and making sure to see all the versions with all the commentaries. I'm sure my wife will come to hate me for this ("But honey, we haven't seen the movie in Spanish yet!" ¡Mi precioso!)

I'm picking up both TC and EE version when they become available. I can't stop now since I have both sets to complete.

Can someone inform me what the general features are of the TC and the EE editions and the advantages each? I've only seen the EE of FotR so far.
Generally the extras on the TC have the wed features, the trailers, music video for whatever the big song is from that movie, a little feature on the "next" movie, a video game trailer and preview for the EE. But I heard RotK DVD won't have a EE preview, and a few behind the scenes stuff.
The extras on the EE are like 4 commetary tracks, lots more interviews with everyone, they go into more detail about why they did stuff they way they did, ect, and they usally have some footage from the premire of the movie. If I missed anything, please add too it.

It's not surprising there'll be no EE preview on the first release... at 2 1/2 hours, there's barely room for the movie... will the TC movie fit on one disc, or spill over onto the second one?
I'll certainly buy the EE version too, if only to have all three EE boxed sets sitting on my shelf... and when I finally have all three, I'm taking a day off to watch all three back to back
The only thing I wonder is just how friggin' long will the EE be? I mean, the TC movie is 2 1/2 hours already...

But in order to do that, don't they have to decrease the picture quality to fit onto one disc? After all, a disc only has one definite capacity limit, whereas with a videotape, you can use a much lengthier version. (160 hours maximum).
