If half of what my fiancée's told me about her time in band is true, then American Pie wasn't merely accurate about band camp, it's rather understated.

So I think band camp would win on the stories part.

I was exposed to D&D for the first time at Jew camp

I was exposed to D&D the first time at summer camp. You could only sign up for the activity if you already knew how to play. I remember being incredibly intrigued by the very sketchy explanation offered for what D&D was, and disappointed that I couldn't sign up, but it would be another year and a half before I got the chance to read the rules and play the game. (I never did at camp, which was probably for the best. It's funny how well I remember that mixture of curiosity and disappointment, though.)
